One of my daily chores (well, it's not really a chore, I enjoy doing it!) is to keep the plants alive. I water, pull weeds and tend to the soil. I usually wait until Claire goes down for her nap before I water, but a couple of days ago the weather was just perfect, I was feeling like a patient mother, and Claire was itchin' to go outside. The result? A well-watered flowerbed, a wet and dirty butterfly dress, a mom feeling like she just let her child experience something new (yay!) and a very happy little girl.
