A day in the life of a 9-month-old

A typical day with my sweet 9-month-old:

7:43 am : Awake. Not crying, but talking and screeching. Leg lifts. I would probably say 5 sets of 50. No joke.

7:45 am : Diaper change.

7:47 am : Morning bottle.

7:57 am : Burp.

7:59 am : Morning story. Her favorite right now is Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar.

8:11 am : High chair fun. She sits there and plays with her favorite toys while I eat my breakfast. Favorite toys: Clothes pin, check book cover, measuring spoons, small plastic container with "puffs" in it, plastic spoons, wipes carrier, old cell phone, tv remote, lotion bottle, spray bottle... anything and everything that is not a designated baby toy.

8:31 am : Going to work with mom. We both go downstairs and check emails and such for work. She usually sits in a big chair and chews on books, rubber duckies and finger puppets.

8:47 am : Fussy. Falls over in the chair and can't get back up.

8:48 am : Back to chewing on the corners of her books.

8:55 am : Jumping in the jumper. Only for about 5 minutes.

9:01 am : Upstairs for tummy time. She still hates it. She will roll to her tummy only to grab something, then rolls right back to her back.

9:34 am : Morning cereal. Still all over the place.

9:50 am : Diaper change.

9:52 am : Story time.

10:01 am : Nap time.

11:50 am : Awake. Blowing spit bubbles and doing leg lifts.

11:55 am : Diaper change.

12:00 pm : Play time with mom.

12:24 pm : Lunch time. Mixed veggies, a fruit of some sort, crackers, puffs and juice in a sippy cup. (Oh yeah, she got her first tooth! Pics to come later.)

1:01 pm : Play time while mom cleans up. She sits on a blanket on the living room floor with all of her favorite toys surrounding her. It is so funny to watch her find something she wants and see her do everything in her power to get it!

1:32 pm : Afternoon bath. By this time she probably has had a messy diaper, so with her never-ending sore bum, I always give her a bath.

2:03 pm : Back to work with mom.

2:22 pm : Afternoon bottle.

2:30 pm : Burp.

2:33 pm : Nap time.

3:58 pm : Awake. Leg lifts.

3:59 pm : Diaper change.

4:02 pm : Play time with mom.

5:00 pm : Dinner. Chicken and Rice with a little fruit and a cracker.

5:33 pm : Big smiles for dad when he walks through the door.

5:35 pm : Play time with dad while mom makes dinner.

6:05 pm : Tummy time, again.

6:28 pm : Evening bath.

6:58 pm : Evening bottle.

7:11 pm : Burp.

7:13 pm : Lights out!

Classic. It sometimes sounds monotonous, but isn't it amazing how it isn't? (because of how cute those leg lifts and smiles, etc. are!)
